Third time lucky as the 3XV secure promotion

In their third consecutive Playoff campaign and after defeat against Actonians 2XV in the Cup Final a fortnight ago - the 3XV were finally able to win the Final and secure promotion to Middlesex Merit Table Division Two.

On a beautifully sunny day in Chiswick, took to the pitch against the same team who had snatched Cup glory from them two weeks earlier - desperate for revenge and desperate to escape the league they've been stuck in for the last couple of seasons.

Led by Alex Paull and with Alex Jeffers pulling the strings at Fly-Half - it's incredible to see how far the squad has come in the last few years to one which is well organised, tackling hard, playing with skill and always with a smile on their faces.

We came out on top with three tries to one, a final 25-17 score to secure promotion.

It was a great day for the team and club, made all the more memorable by the wonderful support on the touchline from friends, family, players from our across the club but most importantly those players who have pulled on the rainbow jersey over the season to get the team to the Final.
